Expanding abilities one person at a time

ABATE Receives Coarc’s Opportunity for Community Excellence Award

Coarc’s Opportunity for Community Excellence is an annual award that Coarc extends to an external agency or individual that has helped fulfill our agency’s mission of expanding abilities, one person at a time, so individuals experiencing disabilities can achieve their individual goals. Nominations for this award come from and are discussed throughout the Coarc community, and are ultimately selected by Coarc’s Leadership team. This year’s award goes to ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) of New York, Columbia County Chapter, for their generosity and enthusiastic partnership. Last year, ABATE held a benefit run to support Coarc programs and services, donating over $2,000 to Coarc.

This year, on July 9th, ABATE will hold the second annual Benefit Run for Coarc. Event registration begins at 10:00 AM at the Plaza Diner, kick stands go up at 12:00 noon, and the ride culminates in a BBQ at the Claverack Town Park. All are welcome. Please contact Danielle Palleschi (daniellep@coarc.org) for more information.

The individuals and families supported by Coarc, as well as employees and Board members, are grateful for ABATE’s sincere partnership and kindness. We look forward to continued teamwork in helping individuals with disabilities achieve their dreams and goals.
