Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Columbia County, NY, come to Cardinal Hall day habilitation for supports to meet their goals for greater independence and community inclusion. Cardinal Hall is a bright and cheerful environment in the Columbia Plaza, 350 Fairview Avenue in Greenport.
At Cardinal Hall, we have a large activity area and dining space. You can join in small adult education groups to practice reading and writing. You can learn to manage your money and budget for activities you like. You can improve your computer skills and learn to cook. You build relationships in small group discussions and enjoy recreational games, puzzles, music, and sewing. You practice safety skills at Cardinal Hall and in the community.
Many of the Cardinal Hall group activities are out in the community. You visit parks, restaurants, and shops. You visit the Humane Society, airport, train station, museums, and the library. You can contribute to your community through volunteer work delivering Meals on Wheels.
On-site nursing is available full time during program hours. A physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech language pathologist, nutritionist, and social worker can be scheduled as needed.
Cardinal Hall is open weekdays 8:15 am to 3:15 pm, except holidays. Coarc provides transportation.
