Job Title: Assistant Intensive IRA Manager
Program: Residential Services
Location: Valatie, NY - United States
Start Date: Immediately
Schedule: 40 hours per week 
Sunday   8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Monday  7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Tuesday 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
Wednesday/Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday/Saturday      off

Status: Non Exempt
Min. Starting Salary: $14.93 hr plus our exceptional benefits package! 
Additional $2.00 hr for hours worked between 11:00 pm Friday and 11:00 pm Sunday

Must be able to attend all required trainings and meeting (held during the day, during the week)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with the IIRA Manager, oversee day to day operations of the designated residential site and ensure appropriate staff coverage. Establish effective programming for 5 young adults by fostering individual growth, development and safety and by facilitating integration of individuals into the community.

·Provide ongoing supervision to 5 young male adults at assigned site as needed. Ensure staff coverage. Establish and ensure implementation of a weekly activity schedule.

·Assist supervisor in development and implementation of Habilitation Plans and Plans of Protective Oversight per their Individualized Service Plans.

·Provide supervision and training to the residents in skills of daily living: including meal planning, meal preparation, food shopping, personal hygiene and grooming, nutrition. Housekeeping/grounds maintenance and self-advocacy.

·Count, administer and record all medication. Assist in self – administering.

·Foster individual safety, conduct fire drills ad record results, ensure posting of emergency numbers and familiarity by staff.

·Provide transportation as required. Implement a system for the maintenance of vehicles

·Develop and implement a system where residents can maintain the cleanliness of the house and grounds on s daily, weekly or monthly basis with staff assistance as needed

·Ensure that staff is kept abreast of procedures, individuals' needs and behaviors. Assess the needs of all individuals and advise supervisors of any unmet needs.

·Provide supervision and guidance to all direct staff.

·In the absence of the Manager, conduct weekly program meetings, Attend other meeting as required,

·Ensure proper approval is obtained for savings withdrawals from Supervisor and that correct procedures are followed by staff for all transactions.

·Count and dispense individual funds and petty cash. Accept responsibility for the individual funds, financial benefits and petty cash on premises during shift.

·Maintain records for all individuals. Ensure completion of all required documentation.

·Attend all trainings and maintain all required certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or/GED required. Minimum 2 years experience with MR/DD population; experience with autism preferred. Six month supervisory experience preferred. Must have valid driver's license. Must be able to complete agency trainings including but not limited to; SCIP, CPR, First Aide and Medication Administration. Computer literacy is required for word processing and simple spreadsheet operation.
